The Beginning
I'm Lauren - Welcome to Lakeside Confections.
When my children were young, I began dipping Oreo cookies to send to school for birthday and holiday treats. As the kids grew, so did my desire to develop my own candy recipes to share. Starting with a peanut butter fudge recipe that I tweaked to create a softer, creamier and smoother center,

When my children were young, I began dipping Oreo cookies to send to school for birthday and holiday treats. As the kids grew, so did my desire to develop my own candy recipes to share. Starting with a peanut butter fudge recipe that I tweaked to create a softer, creamier and smoother center, and graduating to replicating the centers for candies I liked, and ultimately creating what I call meltaway centers and nutty middles, I have a selection that is pleasing to the eye as well as the palate.
